"I'm not a rock star. I'm a soft person. I'm not a rock." ~ Captain
Beefheart
"Any damn fool can get complicated. It takes genius to attain
simplicity." ~

It has
never mattered to me that thirty million people might think I'm wrong. The
number of people who thought Hitler was right did not make him right...
Why do you necessarily have to be wrong just
because a few million people think you are?
~ Frank
Zappa
Whatever you have to do to
have a good time, let's get on with it, so long as it doesn't cause a
murder.
~
Frank Zappa
We
should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once
and we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least
one laugh ~Friedrich Nietzsche
Instead
of all of this energy and effort directed at the war to end drugs, how
about a little attention to drugs which will end war?" ~

Every great advance in natural
knowledge has involved the absolute rejection of authority

Divination: the methods or practice of attempting to foretell the future
or discovering the unknown through omens, oracles, or supernatural powers.
A reflection on the election.
The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger.
Congress and SoundExchange have heard loud and clear the amazing
outpouring of support for Internet radio from webcasters, listeners and
the thousands of artists they support. A commitment has been made to
negotiate reasonable royalties, recognizing the industry’s long-term
value and its still-developing revenue potential.
During negotiations SoundExchange committed temporarily not to enforce
the new royalty rates so webcasters can stay online as new rates are
agreed upon.
This development is due in great part to the millions of people who
have let their Congressional representatives know about their support of
Internet radio. Over 125 representatives have cosponsored the bill to this
point.
We urge listeners to continue calling their Senators and Representative
to ask them to co-sponsor the Internet Radio Equality Act. Thank you.

“My goal is to live
the truly religious life and express it in my music. If you live
it, when you play there's no problem because the music is part of
the whole thing. To be a musician is really something. It
goes very, very deep.
My music is the spiritual expression of what I am, my faith, my knowledge,
my being. ”
